Thousands of folks lined the streets of Main Street in Grapevine on Thursday night to watch the Annual Parade of Lights. The event helped kick off the Christmas season in Grapevine.
There were at least 90 lighted floats that began to stream down Main Street at 7 pm. The mood was very festive as holiday music filled the air. Several local marching bands walked and performed music as well. The calm December weather did nothing but help the event.
Kids, adults, and all sorts of dogs took in the annual festivities which seemed to go off extremely well. This was another fun family event put on by the City of Grapevine.
We look forward to the rest of the Christmas events coming that help make Grapevine the Christmas Capital of Texas.

Every night from December 1st through January 3rd, the Holiday Lights Show Spectacular will be shown every half hour and hour at the Gazebo on Main Street.
From The Grapevine which is published by the City of Grapevine:
Hundreds of thousands of lights dance in synchronization to high energy and traditional holiday music. A must see holiday attraction.
This looks like another great holiday event that is held nightly in Historic Downtown Grapevine. This is worth seeing especially if you are already out doing you shopping or dinning in downtown.
If you can bundle up on December 3rd, join us at the Parade of Lights in Downtown Grapevine. The parade will consist of marching bands playing holiday favorites and over 100 lighted parade floats.
The parade starts at 7:00 PM and is free to the public. It runs along Main Street starting at Vine Street and heading north to Wall Street.
This is going to be a great time so come out and enjoy the fun.
If this is anything close to the Halloween on Main Street festival, it will be a lot of fun for kids and families.
Christmas on Main Street will start on Friday, November 27th (Thanksgiving Weekend) and run every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through December 20th.
Fridays – 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturdays – 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Sundays – 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Of course Santa will be there, so will elves, reindeers, Frosty the Snowman, and a talking Christmas tree. There will be plenty of fun games for kids.
This sounds like a great family event.
