Huge Fire Near Grapevine Mills Mall

Fire near Grapevine Mills Mall

A new apartment complex that is still under construction is on fire across from Grapevine Mills Mall.  The complex is on North Grapevine Mills Boulevard in one of the most heavily trafficked areas of Grapevine.  There is a Grapevine Fire Station on that street as well.

Many signal lights are out in the area and there is heavy traffic currently due to on-lookers.

More to come on this story.

The name of the apartment complex is the Enclave at Grapevine located at 2311 West Grapevine Mills Circle . There are no reports of injuries at this time.

Update 2:

Here is video from Youtube of the fire. The cause of the fire has not been determined.

Here is a short video from Youtube previewing the luxury apartment complex that burned last night.

  1. I was at the mall when the fire occurred, the electricity went out and the mall went pitch black, I walked out of the store I was in and people were running towards the exit saying the Amc movie theater was burning down, once I got outside the parking lot was full of people and the line of cars trying to exit the mall was incredibly long. I could hear fire sirens in the distance. My car was parked on the other side of the building, and it was closer to the fire. The sky was full of smoke and you could literally feel the heat from the fire, and I was standing outside. A very nice family drove me to my car, and it took me about 15 mins to get out of the mall and onto the highway. Once I got home I found out it was the apartment complex that was on fire, and luckily so because there were a lot of people in the movie theater. I’m glad everyone’s ok. I wanted to give a first hand account of what I saw because I’ve never had something like this happen. Peace and love to all, Brenna.

    • Great detailed description. Thank you!

  2. Thank you for the update – great details. Glad no one was hurt.

  3. I live at an apartment complex about 1/2 mile north of Enclave. We had 2 quick power outages then I heard sirens. Opened my door and could see giant flames. I thought it was the mall but then it became obvious it was the new apartments. I have been following their construction for months since I live close by. In fact, I drove by there 12 hours earlier and noted the progress. Looks like a great place. I know this is devastating to the owners/contractors. The only good news is no injuries reported.

  4. The circuits were popping because of the heat which explains the 2 blue hued “explosions” which also explains the power outages in nearby residential areas. nobody is sure about how it happend , but a fire that large doesn’t just appear out of no where.
