Cork It Is Closing

According to the Cork It website, the long time wine bar favorite on Main Street is closing. The letter on the website references difficulties with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC).

11/26/12

Dear Valued Friends and Patrons,

It is with great regret we are writing at this time to inform you of our decision to close CORK IT effective immediately. As many of you may know, we along with other businesses, received notice from TABC rescinding their prior ruling of allowing Enomatic Wine dispensing machines without major modification to our operation.

Cork-It is offering current inventory at 50% off through December 15th, 2012.

You can read more at their website right here:  Cork It.

In other news, we have heard there is a new wine company coming to Grapevine’s Main Street in the summer of 2013. More to come on this in future articles.

  1. Is it Messina Hof? I was at their wine tasting room in Stonewall last Friday and the manager told me that the owner was looking to open a location in GV.

  2. Chris –

I’m not sure. I thought it was called Grapevine Wine Company, but I’m not positive. I’ll post more when I know more.
