The Gatehouse in Grapevine will be coming to Grapevine in the coming months to serve as transitional housing for women and their children.  This will be a multi-phase project that will eventually hold up to 96 families.  The location of the Gatehouse in Grapevine will be near Stone Myers Parkway and Westport Parkway in southeastern Grapevine near DFW Airport.

The purpose of this non-profit women’s shelter is to provide faith based assistance to women in need.  The shelter will provide housing, education, counseling, and training to at-risk women and children.  The temporary housing will permit women who are unemployed, underemployed, divorced, or abused a chance to regain their footing during difficult times.

This project will be completely privately funded.  The primary creators of the Gatehouse in Grapevine are Matt and Lisa Rose.  Mr. Rose is CEO of BNSF Railway Company.

The land in this area is completely unused due to being located on or near a floodplain and its proximity to the runways at DFW Airport.
