Local entrepreneurs Rob and Libby Geier and their family are fulfilling Grapevine’s snack cravings with their newly opened Doc Popcorn store at 3000 Grapevine Mills Parkway in the Grapevine Mills Mall, offering a delicious, all-natural, fresh-popped snack.
Located near Entrance 1 next to Sun & Ski Sports, Doc Popcorn’s PopKioskTM provides passers-by with a delicious fresh-popped snack in a variety of all-natural flavors. Doc Popcorn pops its whole-grain kernels in 100% corn oil and offers a wide variety of distinctive flavors made from blends of natural ingredients. Gourmet flavors range from cheesy cheddar and sweet butter to sinfully cinnamon and hoppin’ jalapeno. Doc Popcorn flavors also happen to be gluten-free and nut-free with soy-free, dairy-free and sugar-free options also available.
Rob and Libby reside in nearby Southlake, Texas with their two children, Avery and Trey. Libby works as a registered nurse at the local Texas Regional Asthma & Allergy Associates. Avery, a recent University of Texas graduate, will join her father as Doc Popcorn’s location manager. Trey, a Southlake Carroll High School graduate and former Marine, will also work in the family business while attending college. The Geiers plan to grow the brand in the area with two additional locations in the coming years, which their son and daughter will run.
“Doc Popcorn is the fun-loving business that my family is looking for; it is reasonably priced, easy to operate, and has immense growth potential,” said Rob, who is a 30-year veteran of the computer software industry, serving in various roles, including Director of Software Sales at IBM. “We can’t wait to open our new family business and see people’s reactions when they taste our popcorn. Nothing compares to the flavor of our freshly-popped, all natural snack.”
“We are thrilled to see the Geier family open their first Doc Popcorn location in Grapevine. Their love for family and passion for success align wonderfully with the Doc Popcorn culture and is indicative of the type of individuals we would like to continue to grow the brand with,” said Rob Israel, CEO and co-founder of Doc Popcorn with his wife, Renée. “As multi-unit franchise owners with Doc Popcorn, the Geiers can grow the fun-loving business throughout the area and provide a healthy, great-tasting product to consumers on the go in high-traffic venues.”
