Life-Sized Gingerbread House at Great Wolf Lodge

As a part of their annual Snowland Festivities, the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine has constructed a life-sized Gingerbread House. The exterior of the house is entirely edible (although it is not recommended anyone attempt this).  The house is made of gingerbread, frosting, candy canes, cookies, candies, and a pretzel stick roof.

The gingerbread house at Great Wolf Lodge is big enough to walk inside and even has a table for dining.  And the proceeds from anyone dining inside the house (it seats up to six people) benefit the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.

The house was made from:

* 3,240 eggs

* 1,320 pounds of sugar

* 750 Christmas cookies

* 600 pounds of gingerbread dough

* 100 pounds of chocolate

* 500 holly leaves

* 2,000 blue chocolate wafers

* 2,000 green chocolate wafers

* 4,900 pretzel rods

* 5,000 Christmas candies

* 750 candy wreaths

* 1,000 candy canes

This is definitely worth checking out. You can see a photo of the house below as well as a time-lapse video of the construction of the gingerbread house (the video is about 1 minute long). Enjoy!

    • Sam – I tend to agree. This is a very difficult time of year for my waist.
