Grapefest 2011

This year marks the 25th anniversary for Grapefest in Grapevine, Texas.  This four day event is highlighted by great wines and good music in a festival atmosphere.  Grapevine’s Main Street is lined with vendors, live music stages, wine tents and of course festival goers.  Grapefest 2011 is called, “A Wine Experience.”

Thursday – 10 am to 10:30 pm

Friday – 10 am to 11:30 pm

Saturday – 10 am to 11:30 pm

Sunday – 11 am to 6 pm

Thursday admission is free all day and Friday admission is free from 10 am to 5 pm.

The live music at Grapefest is always a highlight of the weekend festival. Live music goes on all weekend across four stages.

This year’s live acts include

  • Thursday – Professor D (Gaylord Texan Stage 9 to 10:30 pm)
  • Thursday – Tommy Alverson (Bud Light Stage 8:45 to 10 pm)
  • Friday – Downtown Fever (Gaylord Texan Stage 10 to 11:30 pm)
  • Friday – Railhead (Bud Light Stage 8:30 to 9:45 pm)
  • Saturday – Le Freak (Gaylord Texan Stage 10 to 11:30 pm)
  • Saturday – Mark McKinney (Bud Light Stage 10:15 to 11:30 pm)

Grapefest Golf Classic

If you want to get started early with Grapefest there is also the Grapfest Golf Classic on Monday, September 12th at the Grapevine Golf Course.  Tee off will be at 8 a.m., and the format is a 4-person scramble.  Cost is $125 per player, which includes breakfast, golf cart, lunch and prizes.  The GrapeFest Golf Classic is produced by the Grapevine Golf Association and proceeds benefit the Grapevine Historical Society.  In addition to the golf tournament, the 19th Annual GrapeFest Tennis Classic presented by Hilton DFW Lakes will be held on September 16, 17, and 18.  Spectators are welcome to cheer on the competitors.
