Those are the words that come to mind after touring the Sea Life Aquarium in Grapevine today. We certainly are not going to give everything away here. Some things you need to see and not read about.
A few of the Must-Sees include:
- The circular aquarium with Flagtail fish swimming all around you is a sight to be seen.
- The 360 degree aquarium with sharks, sting rays, and many other sea creatures swimming around.
- The “Shark Walk” where there is 17 feet of aquarium below you full of sharks is pretty cool as well. Many people were very careful where they stepped.
Going inside the Sea Life Aquarium is a little like being inside a Little Mermaid movie. There are sea creatures everywhere. There are jelly fish, sea horses, crabs, clown fish, eels, and really too many to name.
Like we said, we are not going to give away all the secrets. This place is an underwater fantasy land that you truly have to see on your own. It is geared for kids. We were lucky enough to tour the aquarium with a group of kids and the “oooh’s” and “ahhh’s” could be heard over the walls.
The new two-story aquarium is 45,000 square feet. The Sea Life Aquarium officially opens on July 12th, 2011. Ticket prices are $19 for ages 13 and up and $14 for ages 3 to 12. There are discounts available online at visitsealife.com/grapevine.
