4th of July Fireworks over Lake Grapevine 2011

It is that time of year again.  One of the biggest and best traditions on Lake Grapevine is the annual 4th of July fireworks show.

This years show starts at 9:30 pm on Monday, July 4th.  You can view the show from any lake park or surrounding neighborhood. We also recommend viewing on the lake itself if you have access to a boat.  For a great listing of lake parks please check out Lake-Grapevine.com.

We advise arriving early to get your spot because this event is usually very crowded.  There are no entry fees in most parks although some (Rockledge Park, Meadowmere Park) do charge a minimal fee per vehicle.

According to the City of Grapevine:

On Monday, July 4th, Fairway Drive (the road across the dam) will close at 9 p.m. for the fireworks show.  This closure is for the entire length of Fairway Drive, from State Highway 26 to Silveron Boulevard in Flower Mound.  Only emergency vehicle traffic will be allowed.  In addition, no parking or standing will be allowed on Fairway Drive during this time.  Fairway Drive will re-open at approximately 11:30 p.m.

This is a great way to get out and safely celebrate Independence Day.
