Top 5 Places to Take Photos in Grapevine

Whether you are taking graduation photos, engagement photos, or like me just enjoy taking photos of things around town, here is a list of the top 5 places in Grapevine, Texas for snapping pictures.

1.  Main Street in Historic Downtown Grapevine

Downtown is filled with options for taking photos.  There are plenty of historic buildings you can use as a backdrop along Main Street.  Some of the options include the historic Palace Theatre, Torian Log Cabin, or the Main Street Gazebo.  The historic buildings and historic setting make Main Street in downtown Grapevine our #1 choice for photo opportunities in Grapevine.

Grapevine, Texas2.  Rockledge Park on Lake Grapevine

Using Lake Grapevine as a backdrop is a great idea for taking photos.  The bluffs and cliffs throughout Rockledge Park provide the best views of Lake Grapevine around.  You are also near the dam area and just across the lake from the Gaylord Texan.  This is the best park on the lake and a great spot to take some pictures.

Another part of downtown, but this area provides the train and train station as a backdrop.  You might want to check out the train schedule before going to shoot photos.

4.  Botanical Gardens

Near downtown you will find Grapevine’s Botanical Gardens.  This garden area provides natural plants and flowers as your surroundings.  Admission is always free and the garden is open from dawn until dusk 365 days per year.  Professional photographers are welcome.

There are plenty of opportunities for photos at the Gaylord Texan.  You have the patio at the Glass Cactus that looks out over Lake Grapevine or the huge climate controlled atrium in the middle of the Gaylord Texan as options.  Additionally, you have the new Gaylord Texan water park that opens up Memorial Weekend 2011.

Honorable mention – Cowboys Golf Club

Some of the best golf course views around can be found in Grapevine at Cowboys Golf Club.
