Legoland Discovery Center is a great place for kids of all ages. Below is a photo journal of a visit to the new attraction located in Grapevine Mills Mall. If you are looking for more information on ticket prices, hours of operations, and other cool stuff that we would love to share please visit our Legoland Discovery Center information page.
Here’s a look at the entrance as you come into Legoland. It is a couple of life sized Legoland people. There is a short demonstration to start the adventure.
After that you enter the main areas of Legoland. You can ride either of the two rides (note there are height requirements) or enter any of the many play zones set up for kids. Here is the Fire Academy play area.
There is also a Princess Palace set up with girls in mind.
There are plenty of areas to go to stack or build lego models.
Kingdom’s Quest is a ride mainly aimed toward younger kids. There are little laser like guns that pop up from your cart during the ride which kids really seem to enjoy.
Additionally, there are plenty of models set up for viewing. Some of the models include views of the Dallas skyline, downtown Fort Worth and Stockyards, downtown Grapevine, and of Dallas Cowboys Stadium.
Overall, we had a very good time. It is a uniquely wonderful adventure for kids (boys AND girls) of all ages. Our opinion is that most of the attractions are geared towards kids ages 4 and up, but there are things to do and see for the little ones as well. This is a really cool attraction.
