In some of the best news of the week, we learned that Freebirds World Burrito will soon be making a home in Grapevine.  We haven’t been this excited about a new restaurant since the announcement that Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen was coming to Grapevine over a year ago (which still is not here by the way).

Freebirds makes what many people (including us) consider world class burritos.  They will be located in the old Boston Market that recently closed along William D. Tate Ave.  Freebird’s will be right between the Original Pancake House and the California Pizza Kitchen at 1501 William D Tate Ave.  That area of town is getting crowded with great places to eat.

Freebirds makes burritos with your choice of fire grilled chicken, fire grilled steak, or slow roasted carnitas.  In addition to burritos, Freebirds menu includes tacos, nachos, burrito bowls, quesadillas, and more.  They will also sell alcholic beverages.  And there will be indoor and outdoor seating.

We cannot wait for Freebird’s to get here.  Although this may be somewhat bad news with lake season upon us. Please note:  There is a better than 50% chance that we will camp out for the Grand Opening of Freebird’s.  If anyone would like to join us in the Freebirds Grapevine campout, just shoot us an email.  We plan on being first in line on opening day.

Side note:  We also recently learned there is a Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches coming to Grapevine.  This is good news as well, but not fully deserving of its own article.
