Let it be known that we love patios. The fact that the City Council approved a back patio area (excuse me, tasting room) at Farina’s Winery and Cafe on Main Street is very exciting. Farina’s is home to some of the best wine and Italian food in Grapevine.
The addition of a back patio will add roughly 40 seats for outdoor dining to Farina’s. The patio will have roughly ten tables most of which will be covered. It sounds like the perfect addition to Farina’s for those of us that enjoy being outdoors.
Despite several inquires from Grapevine Mayor William D. Tate about the noise level this might create for people that live along Barton Street near downtown and near Farina’s, the City Council approved the patio by a vote of 5-0-1. Gary Farina, the owner of Farina’s, suggested that he does not have the type of clientele that would create a noise problem. He also noted that he would take care of any noise issue should the city receive any complaints.
We look forward to visiting the new patio out back of Farina’s once it is complete.
