Hook It and Cook It 2011

This Saturday, February 19th, Grapevine’s Park’s and Recreation Department will host its second annual Hook It and Cook it event.  The event will take place at the Oak Grove Park pond located on Lake Grapevine.  The pond will be fully stocked with trout for fishing.

WHEN:  9 am to noon, February 19th

WHERE:  Oak Grove Park pond, 901 Oak Grove Loop North (corner of Oak Grove Loop & Darren G. Medlin Trail)

HOW MUCH:  Free

This looks to be a really fun, free event.  Last year this event was snowed out on the day it was originally planned so we did not get to make it.   The weather looks great this weekend and this is a nice way to get out and enjoy it.

Here are more details from the City of Grapevine website:

Cast your line for some cold weather fishing fun at our second annual trout fishing event.  The Oak Grove Pond will be fully stocked with plenty of feisty trout for a fun morning of fishing.  All ages are invited to participate. Bring your own fishing gear or we can provide gear for you, free of charge.  Prizes will be awarded in several categories. Anyone fishing age 16 or older, must have a valid fishing license.
