Here’s a list of fun local events surrounding this years Super Bowl.  We think Southlake really got the jump on Super Bowl events this year so we will start with them, plus their event is free!

SUPER BOWL ART ESCAPE Tuesday through Saturday

 Come to the Grapevine Main Street Art Gallery and School anytime between 10am and 6pm for your personal art escape. Create your own painting with the help of one of our resident artists that can be traditional or Super Bowl related. In 2-3 hours you’ll have a piece of art to take home with you that will be a great memory of your trip to North Texas for Super Bowl XLV!

 Cost $50 per person (All art supplies, wine and cheese included. Discount provided for groups of 10 or more.)

 OPEN HOUSE

 The gallery will have an Open House on Tuesday and Saturday evening of Super Bowl week from 5-8pm. Free of charge. Beverages and snacks provided.

 WINE & CHEESE

 Stop by the gallery everyday of the week between 6-8 pm and enjoy wine and cheese with our resident artists. You’ll find great conversation, along with their diverse collection of original art.

2011 Super Bowl Breakfast

Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center

The 2011 Super Bowl Breakfast will be held Saturday, February 5 at 8:00 a.m. at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center (1501 Gaylord Trail, Grapevine). The breakfast will feature the presentation of the Bart Starr Award, presented by Pro Football Hall of Famer BART STARR, to an NFL player, voted on by his peers, who exemplifies outstanding character and leadership in the home, on the field and in the community.The program will include a story about the “The Ice Bowl” featuring BART STARR and DONNY ANDERSON from the Packers and BOB LITTLE and RAYFIELD WRIGHT from the Cowboys. There will be a tribute to Coach TOM LANDRY, as well as special guests ALICIA LANDRY, BOB BREUNIG, DREW PEARSON, TIM BROWN, ANTHONY MUNOZ, DARREN WOODSON and other NFL athletes and coaches to be announced.  ESPN’s CHRIS MORTENSEN will emcee.

Priority tables of ten are $2,000 and corporate tables of ten are $1,500. Individual tickets are $200 or $150.
