The Wall Street Journal had a pretty funny article on the feral-pig problem that has been afflicting Southlake and other Texas communities this past week. These pigs enjoy lush landscaped yards when digging for food. Only, these searches end up tearing up the yards.
Some of the highlights include:
State officials estimate that pigs cause $400 million a year in property damage.
The state hopes to encourage swine control by holding a “Get the Hog Outta Texas” contest. The prize for the highest number of captured porkers: $25,000.
