If the original plan still holds, the Convention and Visitors Bureau building construction is coming up on the halfway mark. The official groundbreaking was on March 2nd, but clearing of the site actually began sometime before that.
As you can see from the photos, significant progress has been made so for on the building. Construction was originally expected to last about a year.
The building is located on Main Street right next door to The Tuxedo Junction. The new 40,000 square foot space building will not only hold the Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau, but the Visitors Information Center, and a couple of retail spaces.
The $9.8 million facility is being paid for by hotel tax revenues.
