Here’s a list of the ramp closures that start this weekend. They are only planned to be closed nightly from 8 pm to 6 am, but they hit some main arteries of the 121 / 114 Highway Corridor.
July 9th, the eastbound SH 26 on-ramp at SH 114 will tentatively be closed to allow crews to work on asbestos removal. Detour to the William D. Tate ramp.
July 9th and July 13th, the ramp from Bass Pro Drive to southbound SH 121 and the ramp from westbound I-635 to southbound SH 121 will tentatively be closed to allow crews to work on a new bridge that will connect SH 121 and International Parkway, as well as haul dirt. Detour to Sandy Lake Road.
July 11th through July 15th, the eastbound SH 114 ramp to DFW Airport will tentatively be closed to allow crews to level dirt. Detour to Freeport Pkwy.
July 11th through July 15th, the eastbound SH 114 on-ramp at Texan Trail will tentatively be closed to allow crews to haul and level dirt. Detour to Airfield Drive.
July 11th through July 15th, the southbound International Parkway to eastbound SH 114 ramp will tentatively be closed to allow crews to level dirt.
Needless to say, there will be plenty of nightly lane closures as well. Sounds like construction will really pick up this weekend and will have a big impact on traffic around Grapevine and DFW Airport each night.
