Like millions of other Americans, being a part of a fantasy football league seemed like a harmless idea. That was until the higher ups at Fidelity busted Cameron Pettigrew and three coworkers for either being in or being a commissioner of fantasy football leagues.
There are some pretty important corporate policies out there, but this is obviously not one of them. If playing fantasy football was a fireable offense everywhere, the national unemployment rate would be far higher than the 10% unemployment we are at today.
Fantasy football is a huge thriving national industry. Trying to outlaw it in work places is like trying to outlaw talking on the phone.
Our guess is that this might have been just a way to set an example. This is unfortunate for Grapevine resident Cameron Pettigrew. We hope that he at least won his league this year.
If Cameron is out there and would like to consider posting some articles for GrapevineTxOnline, just shoot us an email. It sounds like he may have the spare time to help out around here.
