We are going to get straight to the bottom line here; This is a really relaxed, casual, and enjoyable local place to watch football. There are flat screen televisions at all angles of the bar so you have a really good view from any table. The employees do a good job of meeting requests for games on specific televisions as well.
The food is typical bar food with burgers, sandwiches, and nachos etc. We sampled the Nachos which were good and the Hot Poppers (jalapenos stuffed with cheese) which were excellent. We recommend avoiding the cheese fries however as they were nothing special. Later in the day, we tried the Chicken Quesadillas which were also very good.
Domestic draft beers are $3.25 although they run a special of $2.50 during all Dallas Cowboy games. The premium beers are $4.50 each.
One possible negative was that one of the televisions over the bar was out of service during our visit. This was not a huge deal as there are plenty of other televisions, but one more never hurts. The other negative was that the Tap In is a “cigar friendly” bar which means if you are at all opposed to the smell of cigars then you may want to avoid this place. We did not mind it however as it kind of added to the over all atmosphere.
Located in the heart of Downtown Grapevine Texas, the Tap In serves as a fun sports bar for visitors to Grapevine and locals alike. We really enjoyed the great hopitality and a great sports watching environment.
The Tap In Bar and Grill also has live music on Friday and Saturday nights. We definitely will be back to check that out.
