The Santa’s Wonderland at Bass Pro Shops is more like a kids wonderland. There are numerous activities for kids of all ages. Santa’s Wonderland provides an easy break in the day to holiday shopping.
You can expect:
- A free 4×6 photo with Santa
- Activity tables for kids to draw and write
- Free remote control car play
- Free laser shooting arcade
- The Strike Bass Fishing game
All of this is fairly well organized for the size of the crowds. We waited in line about 30 minutes yesterday afternoon for the photo with Santa.
Santa pictures are available from noon to 9 PM each day through December 24th. We recommend getting there early or very late to avoid some of the crowds if you are in a hurry.

We did this a few weeks ago. It wasn’t too bad, even for a Saturday. They gave us a card with an appointment time on it (every half hour), so we went and ate lunch and came back. We only had to stand in line about 10 minutes once we showed up for our appointment. The Santa was VERY good – no fake beard here! Of course my (almost) 3 y.o. put on his grumpy face JUST for the picture (he was in a perfect mood every other moment of the day!), but oh well… every parent has several years’ worth of non-optimal Santa shots, right?

Ours turned out about the same.
This was Cody’s first picture with Santa who I agree was VERY good. Unfortunately, Cody wouldn’t smile and seemed a lot more interested in the surrounding snow, deer, and other things in the “scene” than the camera.
I guess we have a couple more years of the non-optimal shots.
It was still fun however.
