Halloween on Main Street

From 6 to 9 PM on October 31st, Downtown Grapevine will be host to its 22nd annual Halloween on Main Street.  Kids can trick or treat up and down Main Street and enjoy a number of carnival games.  There is also a costume contest that you can register for at the Gazebo at 7 PM.  This sounds like a lot of fun.

Candlelight Tour of Homes

On October 24th, a number of homes in the Grapevine Downtown Historic district will open their doors for the 3rd annual Candlelight Tour of Homes. This starts at Nash Farm, 626 Ball Street, in Grapevine. The hours are from 4 to 8 PM and the cost is $10.

Hallo-Wine Trail

If you really want to enjoy the Halloween on Main Street above, perhaps you should enjoy the Halloween Wine Trail first which lasts from 11 AM to 5 PM on October 31st. Tickets are $45 until October 30h and $50 the day of the wine trail.

Some of the fun activities during the wine trail will include a murder mystery where participants can receive clues at each tasting room from which they can use to solve the mystery. There will also be a costume contest with prizes for the best costumes.

Participating wineries include: Su Vino Winery, Cross Timbers Winery, Homestead Winery, La Buena Vida Vineyards, La Bodega Winery, D’Vine Winery, Farina’s Winery, and Inwood Estates. The wine trail will take place in historic downtown Grapevine, where most of the tasting rooms are within walking distance of each other. The wine trail will run from 11 am to 5 pm.

Pre-sale tickets are available on-line at until 5pm on October 30th. Tickets can be picked up the day of the wine trail, beginning at 10 am, at Cross Timbers Winery located at 805 N. Main St, Grapevine, Texas, where trail goers can also pick up their souvenir wine glass and bottle of wine.

Costumes are encouraged!

Halloween Scream Train

On October 30th and 31st, the Grapevine Vintage Railroad turns into the Halloween Scream Train. Costumes are encouraged here as well and kids can enjoy trick or treating on the train.

Train departs at 1 PM and arrives at the Fort Worth Stockyards at 2:30 PM. Then returning from the Stockyards at 4:45 PM and arriving back in Grapevine at 6:15 PM.

There are always plenty of fun activities going on in Grapevine. We are going to try to attend some of these and report back on the fun.
