Texas Roadhouse – Restaurant Review

We dined last evening at the great Texas Roadhouse located just southwest of Grapevine off of Hwy 121 in Bedford. For some odd reason we decided to meet there for dinner on our way home from work, so we arrived at 5:45 PM. Little did we know this would allow us to use a special they have running for “Early Dine” where you choose from 10 meals for a price of $7.99 each before 6 PM.

Our waiter, Chaz, was very pleasant despite the bandana and Cowboy hat combo he was attempting to pull off at the same time. I had never seen this before, but besides that mild distraction he did an excellent job for the short time we were there. We always had full drinks and were offered hot fresh rolls as needed, which are somewhat difficult to resist.

We ordered a Grilled Chicken Salad and a Chicken Critter Salad for our meals which may not have been a great idea given that we were reviewing the meal and experience. A little variety might have helped, but it was early in the evening and on a Tuesday and their normal portions are huge. The food was fresh, crisp, and it tasted great. We’ve been here before and can report that the food is consistently good.

This location of Texas Roadhouse is always busy. I think it’s mostly because it is a well run restaurant. The manager always stops by to say hello. He does this to every table. Some people may see this as an annoyance, but we like to think of it as an indication of how the place does business. They like to make sure every customer is well taken care of. We can report that we were well taken care of yesterday and we will be back. Hopefully Chaz will work on a new ensemble for our next visit.
