On Sunday, we took time to visit our favorite patio in Colleyville, which is at Rio Mambo Tex Mex Y Mas. We made it early enough (before 1 PM) to enjoy the Sunday Brunch menu. Given the weather, we were surprised to be one of the few enjoying the patio there. It is possible people were at home watching football, I’m not sure.

We ordered The Mambo King Brunch and Huevos a la Mambos, both of which, were very good. With The Mambo King Brunch, you get a fruit plate appetizer, your selection of brunch entry which in this case was the very simple ham and cheese omelet, and your choice of sopapillas or cinnamon roll for dessert. I almost forgot to mention the King Brunch also comes with unlimited mimosas.

Everything was excellent. If I have to nitpick, I’d say that the fruit plate came with too much Honeydew Melon. I can’t be the only one that thinks this fruit is very average to below average. Give me some more cantaloupe or grapes please.

We were stuffed from all the food and did not eat much the rest of the day. That said, there is no doubt we will visit the Sunday Brunch at Rio Mambo again.
